I’ve been taking a bit of a break from blogging as things have been a bit crazy.
This month, we finally had our ‘Dam Hoi’ (Vietnamese Engagement Ceremony)…which was interesting hahaha. The ceremony is pretty much the tea ceremony, where both families gather at bride’s house and we introduce each side of the family to each other. My fiance’s mum had also decided to hire her friends to take photos and record the whole thing. Needless to say, I was not impressed by the photographer’s desire for me to constantly pose and forcefully making me do so (yes, they would march up to us and try and arrange my hand and body lol) 😑 I understand the need to take photos but yeah…
I am so happy that I’ve already sorted the wedding photographers and videographers!
I also had my birthday a few days ago! Getting old 😆
Not much has changed since my last ‘Currently’ 😂 Yaaassssss, the FAB 5 are back!!! I am now slowly watching Queer Eye Season 2! Thankfully, I have Chris to slow me down or I would have finished all the episodes already, hahaha.
We’re just passed the half-way mark for the season, which again only has 8 episodes. I’m definitely super happy that they’ve diversified their clientele for makeovers – it’s not just men, but women and even transgender! That definitely has been so interesting to watch and hear other people’s stories.
The FAB 5 are fabulous as always.
We also bawled our eyes out in the first episode 😭
I am totally obsessed with The Sam Willows. They’re a Singaporean band that I stumbled upon a few years ago and I’ve been following their music very closely.
They’ve just released their sophomore album recently and it’s been on constant loop for me. They just have a good mix of catchy melodies, great vocals (and harmonies!) and awesome lyrics.
You can check out their song, Robot, which is one of my favourite songs of theirs. It’s not as fun and light as their other songs but I find that lyrics relatable!
A few things actually!
Myself! I’ve signed up for a gym trial and Chris is encouraging me to go gym with him. Okay, I admit. I’m a bit of a couch potato. Combined with my sort of fast metabolism, I normally can eat things and not worry too much about my weight. That being said, I want to be healthier and tone myself! I’m not sure if I will continue but so far I’ve been doing cardio (having fun with the treadmill and um stair thing). Weights etc. might be something that I’ll consider later on, but I’m pretty happy to stick with cardio for now.
I’m also working on a design for a revamp of what Chris and I like to call ‘my side business’. I can’t give much away, but it’s definitely one of my passions and to be able to actually design it and develop it myself as well is all part of the fun!
Secondly, I’ve totally forgot that I need to plan a wedding (civil ceremony, reception venue, make-up and hair artist, photography/videographer all done!). Next up, we definitely need to find a celebrant but it’s been a slow process. Mainly because it’s sort of an awkward thing…going through photos of celebrants smiling and trying to decide on one hahaha. If anyone knows a celebrant in Sydney, please let me know!
I have a few other smaller projects that I want to tackle for fun and in my spare time, such as a manhwa scanlation project. But that’s definitely been a slow process!
How’s everyone’s month been so far?
